OUR STORY
Welcome to Karen's Rabbits located on
Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Karen's Rabbits is comprised of Karen, her mother Gina, her sister Bonnie's daughters Anna and Hadley, and her brother Will's children Matthew, Jennifer and Christopher (with family support).

Karen has been raising rabbits since 1981 specializing in New Zealand Whites.
Currently we have Blacks, Blues, Broken Blacks, Broken Blues, Reds and Whites.
Karen acquired a pair of Black Silver Fox and a pair of Chocolate Silver Fox carriers
in 2021 and is looking forward to working with this heritage breed.

Since 1981, the rabbitry has seen numerous breeds such as Californians,
Netherland Dwarfs, Silver Fox, Standard Chinchillas, Florida Whites, Mini Rex,
Dutch, Mini Lops, Satins, New Zealands as well as a Harlequin and
now has a Holland Lop thanks to Hadley.

Bonnie specialized in Netherland Dwarfs concentrating more on the Chocolate varieties
but you could also find Blues, Blue Otters and Black Otters in the barn.

Will specialized in Standard Chinchillas wanting a smaller, compact dual purpose breed.

Anna specialized in New Zealand Reds with help from Aunt Karen and is currently working
on Netherland Dwarfs and Dutch.

Hadley has brought the first Holland Lop into the rabbitry as a pet. She says Bunnies don't need names (out of the mouth of a 3 year old, going on pre-teen. lol).

Matthew and Jennifer love their Black Dutch. Christopher has a Gray Dutch.

Gina is helping with the New Zealand Reds and will be in the show tables in 2023.

We were founding members of the DelMarVa Rabbit & Cavy Breeders Association
as well as the Hopping Around 4-H Rabbit & Cavy Club.

We are currently members of ARBA, AFNZRB, MARCS, PaSRBA,
and Carroll County Rabbit & Cavy Club (MD).

Karen's Rabbits is a Registered Rabbitry under ARBA.
